ALD Automotive completes the acquisition of LeasePlan, announces changes in local management

ALD Automotive announces the successful takeover of 100 percent of LeasePlan, one of the global leaders specialized in fleet management and mobility solutions, from the consortium led by TDR CAPITAL.

The new entity will build on its size advantage and complementary competencies to strengthen its competitive advantages and ensure sustained growth.

In Romania, following the completion of the acquisition, ALD Automotive and LeasePlan will begin the integration process to become a single company, subject to regulatory approval.

To lead the strategic development of the combined entity in Romania, Tim Albertsen, Chief Executive Officer of ALD Automotive | LeasePlan has appointed Shane Dowling, previously General Manager of ALD Automotive in Romania, as Country Managing Director. Bogdan Apahidean, Managing Director of LeasePlan in Romania, decided to pursue other professional opportunities outside the company.
