Schaeffler appoints Alexandru Blemovici as CEO of Subregion Romania and Southeast Europe
The Schaeffler Group appointed Alexandru Blemovici as CEO for the Subregion Romania and Southeast Europe, effective June 2024. In his new role, he will be responsible for strengthening and expanding Schaeffler’s presence in Romania and other countries in the region, including Bulgaria, Turkey, Greece, Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, and Israel. The subregional headquarters will be located in Brasov, Romania.
Alexandru Blemovici brings over two decades of experience at Schaeffler, having successfully led Schaeffler Romania since its establishment of production in the Brasov location in 2004. Over the past seven years, he has served as COO for the Industrial division, responsible for operations, supply chain, and procurement for 4.3 billion euros global business. His extensive experience and leadership have been instrumental in Schaeffler’s growth and operational efficiency.
In his new capacity as CEO, Alexandru Blemovici will focus on driving local sales growth, enhancing the supplier base, and developing the presence of specialists from the subregion in key departments and central leadership roles within the Group. Additionally, he will support the integration of Vitesco into the Schaeffler Group for Romania and the Southeast Europe Subregion, contributing to the creation of a new, consolidated organization ready for growth and success across all relevant sectors.
