Romania’s car production up by 8.6 percent in the first semester

In June, a total of 46,032 new cars were produced at the factories in Mioveni and Craiova, an increase of 11.3 percent compared to the same period of 2023, according to data published by ACAROM – Association of Automobile Manufacturers in Romania.
At the Dacia plant, 24,505 vehicles were assembled, while the Ford Otosan factory in Craiova produced 21,527 units.
In the first 6 months of 2024, the two plants produced a total of 292,378 new cars, up 8.6 percent from the same period in 2023.
Car production in Romania hit a record in 2023: 513,050 units, up 0.7 percent from 2022 and 22 percent more than 2021.
