Dacia has produced 8 million cars at the Mioveni factory

Dacia has reached a production of 8 million cars at the Mioveni factory. The 8,000,000th model is a Bigster in Journey trim and Indigo Blue color, which rolled off the assembly lines on April 24.

The Mioveni factory was inaugurated on August 20, 1968, with the launch of the Dacia 1100 model, under the Renault R8 license.

The production record belongs to the Duster model. Launched in 2010 and already in its third generation, the SUV has over 2.6 million units produced in 15 years of existence.

The most recent model launched in production exclusively at Mioveni is the Dacia Bigster, the brand’s first C-segment SUV. Bigster already has over 13,000 orders at European level, over 1,600 of which are on the Romanian market.
