Uber expands commuting solutions to support the recovery of Romanian businesses
As lockdowns are slowly being lifted across Romania, businesses are cautiously re-opening workplaces with strict social distancing measures in place. To meet the evolving needs of Romania’s businesses and cities in the ‘new normal’, Uber is expanding its “Uber 4 Business” platform to offer new solutions to help them transport employees safely.
“Uber is committed to building innovative and safe solutions that meet the needs of businesses in the ‘new normal’. We have seen our platform and technologies deliver great value for small, medium and large enterprises, and we are working hard to support corporate clients and their employees with the safest and most cost-efficient solutions during the time of economic recovery“, says Nicoleta Diaconu, General Manager Uber Romania.
With these solutions, corporate clients can choose what pick up and drop off locations employees can request rides to or from, including offices and transit stations for first and last mile solutions. They can also set up the time and days to provide employees with rides, whether that’s traditional rush hours or part of new office shift schedules. Similarly, companies can also allow employees to commute when it’s convenient for them, such as late at night or early in the morning, thereby giving them an easy, affordable, and safe alternative to using private vehicles or corporate car fleets, without requiring any parking facilities.
