Groupe Renault Romania appoints Antoine Doucerain as new CEO
Groupe Renault has announced the naming of Antoine Doucerain as the general director of Automobile Dacia and Groupe Renault Romania, starting May 1. He will report to Nicolas Maure, director of operations of Groupe Renault for the Eurasia Region, which Romania is part of.
Antoine Doucerain will replace Yves Caracatzanis, who will take up another role in Groupe Renault.
Nicolas Maure, head of operations for Eurasia, said: “Groupe Renault is an important company in Romania, a company that succeeds. I would like to thank and congratulate Yves Caracatzanis for his involvement in heading the talented teams in Romania: the industrial and commercial launch of the new Duster – the Dacia brand is exceeding its own historic sale records in Europe, and our business model, Global Access, from design to post-sale, is an indisputable asset for Groupe Renault. I count on Antoine Doucerain for maintaining this dynamic, because Romania, more than ever, has a key role in the strategic development plan of Groupe Renault, Drive the Future.”
Antoine Doucerain has been at Renault since 1993, when he started in the Logistic Engineering Division. He continues his career in Production, fist at the Douai plant, and later is named the head of the Maubeuge plant, where he oversees the launch of Kangoo ZE and the preparation of the Citan model for Daimler. In 2012 he goes to Brazil to coordinate a new Nissan plant and the start of production for models Micra and Versa. In May 2015 he returns to France and takes the role of Industrial Director, overseeing eight high-performance Renault plants.
