Here are the winners of the first Automotive Awards Gala by Automotive Today!
Automotive Today powered by The Diplomat – Bucharest organized Automotive Forum & Awards for Excellence Gala 2018 on 13 November at JW Marriott Hotel in Bucharest – Constanta Ballroom.
The event brought together delegates from the Romanian automotive sector and Government representatives, in a half-day event, with engaging keynote sessions by industry leaders, interactive panel discussions, networking opportunities and gala awards dinner.
Automotive Today also launched the Automotive yearbook, which analyses the trends that are driving the transformation in the automotive industry and how companies should fall in line for future success.
Romanian Automotive Industry Awards Gala – an event meant to celebrate achievement, creativity, knowledge and partnership. Individuals and companies across eight categories were honored at this prestigious award ceremony, which rewards enthusiasm for development and innovation across the whole industry. Encouraging and developing individuals through creativity of ideas, through adaptation and flexibility, through planning and pioneering new ways, through new thoughts and new ideas is what moves the entire industry forward.
Here are the finalists and the winners for the first edition of Automotive Awards for Excellence:
CSR AWARD – Ford Resource and Engagement Centre in Craiova
The finalists were Ford Resource and Engagement Centre in Craiova, Michelin Romania, NTN-SNR, Robert Bosch.
CEO OF THE YEAR – Christian von Albrichsfeld, CEO of Continental Romania
“I’m really honoured and happy to receive this award. We try to make a difference every day and it really shows we are committed not just to look for production but for the development of the country, to explore Romania’s strategic position in different other fields,” said Christian von Albrichsfeld.
R&D AWARD – Continental Romania
“We need to continue to develop this activity in Romania. We try to develop and have a big contribution to the car of the future. We have a great potential here and we always try to work with other companies as well. Thank you very much for this award!,” said Christian von Albrichsfeld, who received the award on behalf of Continental Romania.
SUPPLIER EXCELLENCE AWARD – Schaeffler Romania
The finalists were Delphi Technologies, Draxlmaier Group, Elba and Schaeffler Romania.
“Thank you for this award. We are glad to take part at this event and we will continue to be a part of Romania’s economic development,” said Uwe Kando, Head of Training Center CEE at Schaeffler Romania.
COMPANY OF THE YEAR – Automobile Dacia
The finalists were Continental Romania, Daimler (Star Transmission and Star Assembly), Ford Romania and Automobile Dacia.
“Thank you for this award. This is dedicated to all our colleagues because it is their achievement. It is also an achievement for a brand which is a Romanian ambassador,” said Cristian Nevzoreanu, Deputy Corporate Affairs Director at Renault Group Romania.
AFTERMARKET PARTS COMPANY AWARD – Conex Distribution
The finalists were Conex Distribution, Elit Romania Piese Auto Originale, TRW Automotive Safety Systems, Valeo Sisteme Termice & Valeo Lightning Injection
LOGISTICS EXCELLENCE AWARD – International Alexander
The finalists were DB Schenker, Dunca Expeditii, Grup Feroviar Roman and International Alexander.
SPECIAL JURY AWARD – German Vocational School Kronstadt
The best managers, practices and projects were awarded within 8 categories by the judging panel, formed of:
