New car registrations in Romania: 130,919 units in 2018, 23% growth
In 2018, the Romanians have registered 130,919 new cars, up 23.06% compared to 2017. During this time, 473,616 second-hand cars were registered on the local market, down 9%.

Around 36,873 cars were Dacia units. The podium on the local market was completed by Skoda and Renault.
Last year, the Romanians have registered 473,616 second-hand cars, down by 8.99% compared to 2017. As usual, Volkswagen dominates the second-har car market with 119,260 units, down 12.67%. Opel took second place (48,960 units, -23.5%), while BMW won the third place (45,998 units, -0.8%).
