“This entire period of time was a lesson to all of us. No one ever trained for this period to face such disruptive event in all our careers. We had to face it, to find the solutions, to engage the people, to communicate in a different way, just to make sure that the decisions in company are made fast and are positive.

Leaders need to trigger the trust in their teams and to create that positive and trustful atmosphere within the company. It is very difficult to engage and keep together people working now in different locations, from  their homes and other remote locations, this is one of the challenges. Navigating in such challenging times is not an easy task. But I dare to say that we proved to be successful at the end of the day by adjusting and embracing  a versatile leadership style.

Adaptation, accountability, articulation, these are among the main words of the day. Communicating all the time, taking information from trustful sources, convey the right messages to people, engaging people, shifting towards inclusive leadership. We need to enable intense cooperation between leaders and the organization’s staff. You, as leader, can’t take decisions on your own. You have to listen to people’s needs, because now, the needs are different.  You have to develop these sensors within organization and testing the rightfulness of your decisions.”
