Solaris, global leader in the production of electric vehicles for public transport, to deliver 10 hybrid buses in Reghin

Solaris Bus & Coach, a global leader in the production of public transport electric vehicles, has signed a contract with the Romanian city of Reghin for the delivery of 10 hybrid buses by the end of the first quarter of 2022. The total value of the contract is approximately 3.6 million Euro.

The ordered Solaris buses are equipped with a hybrid propulsion system, consisting of a 120 kW traction engine and a 151 kW diesel engine, which meets Euro 6 emission standards.

The vehicles will be equipped with a passenger counting system with sensors located at each door, which will allow the public transport operator to collect data on the number of people using certain routes. According to the company, it will be possible to make transport optimizations on the respective lines.
