Ramona Dragomir, Schaeffler Romania: “We have a program that seeks to promote women to leadership positions within Schaeffler”
“I started my career as an engineer in the food industry, but I had to reorient myself after the crisis of 2008-2009. I had the opportunity to join the Schaeffler team. Later I realized that it was a very good decision to enter this industry. I held various positions within the company and I managed to develop professionally. I became a manager and I coordinate a segment with 200 employees,” Ramona Dragomir, Production Director, Schaeffler Romania said during the “Women Professionals In The Automotive Industry” conference.
“Is the automotive industry a place for men? I can say yes, but there are many opportunities for ladies. Companies are increasingly talking about diversity and equal opportunities. I can confirm these things by personal example.
We have many programs at Schaeffler that encourage women to have active roles in society. Women Mentoring is a program that sees diversity as a partnership for success and seeks to promote women to leadership positions within Schaeffler.
There are many opportunities, but we must take advantage of them. We support dual schools and encourage the practical side of things. We promote learning at work and the integration of young people in the organizational culture. We offer opportunities for young people, we offer them development opportunities.”
