Romania’s new car registrations down by four percent in 2021

New car registrations in Romania decreased in December 2021 by 25.77 percent compared to December 2020, reaching a volume of 11,858 units. For the whole year, the level of new car registrations in Romania reached 121,208 units, a decrease of 4.07 percent compared to 2020, respectively 126,351 units, according to ACAROM data.
Regarding the second-hand cars registered for the first time in Romania, their volume reached in December 2021 the figure of 27,238 units, a decrease of 20.3 percent compared to December 2020. For the whole year 2021, the level of SH car registrations in Romania reached 395,759 units, a decrease of 2.29 percent compared to the similar period of 2020, respectively 405,045 units.
