Schaeffler Romania supports the registration for three master’s programs for the future
Education is a priority for Schaeffler Romania. In this regard, the company has developed successful partnerships with the educational environment in Brasov County, precisely in order to be able to support the young generation even more closely. Thus, all bachelor graduates who want to continue their studies following a master’s program in technical fields are invited to enroll in one of the three programs supported by the company and in the new academic year.
In close collaboration with Transilvania University, the three master programs addressed to graduates of technical faculties offer future master students the opportunity to specialize in areas of current interest, learning in a professional environment that gives them the chance to put into practice the acquired knowledge.
“The collaboration with Transilvania University is one of the most valuable investments of the company, both in education – in the future of the new generations, and in the future of the company. In partnership with the university, we managed to develop master’s programs in fields that are in the top of the requirements of the industrial environment, at a global level”, says Ștefan Gulacsi-Gologan, General Administrator of Schaeffler Romania.
Program “Practical methods integrated in the engineering of propulsion systems”
This is the newest master’s program supported by the company, which was started in 2018 in partnership with the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, being a unique program within Transilvania University, due to the double specialization, both in production and in research and development.
The advantages of this program include 10 places with tuition fees covered by the company, in addition to the 14 places in the budget; Combining the passion for road vehicles with technological engineering, which offers increased employment opportunities; practice provided free of charge within the company, during the two years of study; The company offers mentoring and refresher courses supported by the top management of the Schaeffler Group.
Master’s graduates have easy access to future occupations such as technologist engineer, manufacturing preparation engineer, production planning engineer, production management, design engineer, technical calculation engineer (FEA simulation, CFD, multibody) or testing engineer. In addition, for those interested, there is also the option to continue the studies with a PhD in the research and development area of Schaeffler.
Program “Engineering of advanced manufacturing processes”
Schaeffler supports young people who enroll in this program by offering 10 private scholarships to the best of students. This program was launched in 2015, in collaboration with the Faculty of Technological Engineering and Industrial Management, and the teaching is in both Romanian and English. Under this program, there is the possibility to choose one of the two branches, namely: technologies for manufacturing products from metal materials or technologies for manufacturing plastic products.
The disciplines studied include design for manufacturing, technologies used in manufacturing processes, quality management, project management or plastic injection.
Future occupations after graduation include: mechanical engineer, technologist engineer, manufacturing preparation engineer, production planning engineer, process improvement manager or even product manager.
Program “Virtual engineering in vehicle design”
This is a master’s program taught in English, which started in 2013, at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, in the desire to offer young graduates a specialization oriented towards practice and correlated with the demands of the labor market. It is the first program supported by the company, which provides access to the research part, develops the necessary skills in the product validation part, using numerical methods.
An advantage in professional development is also the access to Schaeffler experts, as well as – along with them – access to the most modern and complex simulation methods: FEA, CFD, MBS and many others. Also, those who want to continue their higher education through a PhD can do so, because Schaeffler offers both topical topics and the practical framework necessary for the implementation of the solutions and concepts developed.
The registration for the described master programs can be done through the platform of the Transilvania University of Brasov until July 16, 2022. More details about the registrations and their calendar can be found at the following link: Master – UniTBv Admission
