Ford launches an update for the Puma SUV made in Craiova
Ford presented today the new Puma, an evolution of the SUV manufactured exclusively in the Ford Otosan factory in Craiova. The Puma now has a completely new interior, large digital displays, cutting-edge connectivity and advanced driving and assistance technologies.
The driver has two large screens at his disposal, while the physical buttons have been reduced to a minimum. New generation technologies enable more natural driving with cruise control on, able to slow down before intersections and curves, and new Dynamic Matrix LED headlights helping drivers see more clearly at night.
The Mild-Hybrid propulsion systems offer up to 155 HP – or 170 HP for the sporty Puma ST Powershift version.
Ford is also announcing today that the all-electric Puma Gen-E will be introduced later this year – the first Puma to enable zero-emission driving.
The new SYNC 4 multimedia system has twice the computing power of the previous version and adapts to facilitate access to the functions most used by drivers. Voice recognition understands natural language, and smartphones can be easily connected wirelessly using Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as wireless charging.
The B&O audio system is available as an option and features 10 speakers, including an on-board Soundbar.
Customers can choose from Titanium, ST-Line and ST-Line X variants, each with their own custom exterior styling.
