German automotive supplier to build a factory in Romania following 60 million euros investment
The mayor of Siret (Suceava County) announced that a German investor in the automotive sector will build a factory where 600 people will work. The new plant will be located in the Industrial Park of Siret.
According to the mayor Adrian Popoiu, the investment will be made by Anton Haering, a supplier of auto parts, and will reach 60 million euros, News.ro reads.
“The first resident was accepted in the Industrial Park. Today, the surface contract for five hectares was signed between the company that manages the park and a German investor. The investor wants to build, in three years, a factory where 600 employees will work. The investment reaches approximately 60 million euros. This company wanted to invest in Romania. Thanks to our investments in the industrial park, the utilities brought there, the implementation of projects in education generating qualified labour force, the city of Siret was chosen”, Adrian Popoiu wrote on Facebook.
The mayor of Siret city stated that the discussions with the German investor lasted ten months and that there was fierce competition with other cities in Romania for this investment.
