Continental produced the 1,000,000th dashboard display at Timisoara megafactory

The Continental megafactory in Timișoara has reached the production milestone of 1,000,000 units of dashboard displays. This display produced by Continental combines traditional on-board instruments with the infotainment system in a single unit.

With a curved design, touchscreen and integrated camera assistance for the driver, the technology allows for the optimization of dashboard space and simplifies the user’s interaction with the vehicle’s technology.

“Continuous innovation was the key to the success of this product, and the Timișoara factory has demonstrated excellence in high-precision and efficient production. Behind each unit produced is a team of specialists who have combined cutting-edge technology with a rigorous and carefully controlled manufacturing process. Producing unit number 1,000,000 is an exceptional achievement for all of us. This confirms the collective dedication and determination to maintain the highest standards in the automotive industry,” said Lucian Mărgineanu, Plant Manager of the megafactory in Timisoara.

Continental has five production facilities and four engineering centers in Timişoara, Sibiu, Carei and Iaşi. The company has a tire distribution center in Bucharest. At the end of 2023, Continental had over 20,300 employees, of which over a third were engineers and IT specialists and will continue to hire based on future projects.
