Simona Belea takes over the management of Continental Automotive Romania

Simona Belea, currently Head of Continental Autonomous Mobility Romania, will replace Christian von Albrichsfeld at the helm of Continental Automotive Romania.

She has almost 13 years of experience within the company and has held her current position since 2012. She started working at Continental Romania in September 2001, and in the same year she graduated from the Politehnica University of Timisoara.

Christian von Albirchsfeld is leaving the leadership of Continental’s automotive division after almost 16 years and it is not clear who will replace him as Continental’s country head for Romania.

Between 1999 and 2023, Continental invested over 2.3 billion euros in its activities in Romania, according to the company. All three of the company’s business areas are represented in Romania. Continental has five production facilities and four engineering centers in Timişoara, Sibiu, Carei and Iaşi. The company has a tire distribution center in Bucharest. At the end of 2023, Continental had over 20,300 employees.
