Romania’s car production, down 5 percent in February

In February 2025, a total of 45,797 cars were produced at the Mioveni and Craiova plants, down 5.3% compared to the same period in 2024, according to data from ACAROM.
26,417 vehicles were assembled at the Dacia plant (vs. 29,241 in February 2024). The Ford Otosan plant in Craiova manufactured 19,380 cars (vs. 21,247 in February 2024).
Car production in Romania reached a new record in 2024, exceeding the threshold of 550,000 units. Last year, car production in Romania was 560,102 vehicles, up 9.1% compared to 2023. The result in 2023 was also a record (513,050 units).
